   The CS SmartCard Reader:

Many organisations are now using SmartCards for various functions. 

CS Technologies manufactures a SmartCard reader that allows these cards to be used for access control. 

A SmartCard is like an encrypted floppy disk with various user information. 

The CS reader contains a small controller that communicates to the cards and gets appropriate user information. - This is usually an unique card number, student number, customer number etc.

The CS reader acts as an interface, translating the smartcard information into a standard format back to the access control and security systems.

Currently we support the reading of Proton, Infineer and Chipper SmartCards and we can easily configure the reader for many more.
